japanese mash

Hello! I'm originally from Cardiff in Wales but am currently living in Hagi-shi, Japan. I'm an Assistant Language Teacher on the Jet programme and have set up this blog to act as a diary of my time here and also to let friends know what I'm up to (I hate group emails as much as the next person!). Enjoy..... or be bored.

Tanuki doing a spot of hanami. We treated Tanuki to a trip to the Asahi Brewery Headquarters. We let him try all kinds of new beers. Unfortunately they were out of the beer named 'ALT'. Why is everyone staring at me? Have I got a giant golden poo on my head or something? eh?

Whilst Pauline and I headed to the Ghibli animation museum, Tanuki decided to go on his own little adventure and managed to find the oldest hydroelectric power plant in Japan. Thrilling stuff.
Here's the cheeky little scamp trying to break in for a closer look. Abunai - yo!
